It's more than lines and shapes.

A logo design is not just random shapes, lines, curves and fonts put together.

It's a visual story of a brand.

It's a symbol that speaks for your business even before you open your mouth to speak.

So it has to be carefully thought after.

It's a thought process that is very deep and takes a lot of time.

A logo must communicate a meaning that relates to the brand story, the brand goals, the brand's audience and everything in between.

A logo doesn't always have to show practically what you do in it, but it has to represent your business name and have a meaning that indicates what you do.

There are several thoughts that go into creating a logo; here are a few:

1. Meaningful: it has to have a meaning and must relate to the brand's central message and its goals.

2. Simplicity: it has to be simple and memorable. A logo doesn't have to have a lot going on in it.

3. Strategic symbols: from the colours used to the lines, shapes and fonts, everything communicates meaning, values, industry, tone, etc.

Next time you need a logo, don't just look for a fancy logo.

Ask your designer, what is this logo saying about this brand?

If it's saying nothing, then it's just lines and symbols.
