A Weekend Drenched in Glory๐: My Retreat Experience at UEC Region 1
There are moments in life that mark a turning pointโmoments when heaven touches earth, and the heart is never the same again. That moment came for me during the Youth Campus Fellowship Retreat held at UEC, Region 1, 168 Aka Road, Uyo, Nigeria. What I thought would be just another weekend gathering turned out to be a divine appointment with destiny.
From the very beginning, something felt different. The air was thick with expectation, and as voices rose in praise, the atmosphere shifted. The praise session wasnโt just loud music or rhythmic clapsโit was a thunderous eruption of hearts pouring out gratitude to the One who never fails. Every lyric was a testimony, every shout a breakthrough. I danced, I cried, I laughedโall in one breath. Glory was in the room.
Then came the worship. And oh, what a moment that was.
The lights seemed to dim, not physically, but in the spirit. The crowd faded away, and it was just me and God. Each song was a ladder, and with every note, I climbed higher into His presence. Tears streamed down as the reality of His love settled in my soul like never before. Chains I didnโt even know I carried fell off. My mind was renewed, my heart softened, my spirit ignited.
In that sacred space, I met a version of myself Iโd only dreamed ofโbold, joyful, fearless. God wasnโt just in the room; He was in me. The retreat wasnโt just a program. It was a reset. A revival. A rebirth.
UEC Region 1 has become more than a place on the map. Itโs now a place in my story where heaven wrote a new chapter. I walked in one way, and I walked out changedโforever.
