I used to think leadership was for people with titles—CEOs, pastors, team leads. The ones who “had it all figured out.”

But along the way, I realized something: people don’t wait for you to have a title before they start looking up to you.

They ask for advice. They seek direction. They follow your lead—sometimes even when you don’t feel ready. And that’s when it hits you… Leadership isn’t about a position; it’s about responsibility.

Most of us don’t wake up one day feeling “ready” to lead. We grow into it. We step up, even when it’s uncomfortable. We take responsibility, even when we’re unsure. And little by little, we become the kind of people others can count on.

Maybe you’re already leading—at work, at home, in your community—but you don’t even realize it. Or maybe you’re holding back, waiting for a sign that it’s “your time.”
