I’ve Grown… And Here’s What’s Next

Learning, they say, isn't enough. Implementation is where the real growth lies.

And thus, over the last 21 days, I've learned, unlearned, and relearned many things, and I'm putting all the new things I've learned into practice.

And the result?

Amazing.

This challenge hasn't only helped me to explore writing as much as I want, but it has also helped me to pour out my heart and get relieved afterward.

Aside from that, it increased my commitment level to doing things. Many of the contents I posted were written a few hours to the submission deadline, not because I didn't want to, but because my schedule didn't permit me. Yet, I made it a must to write it even when my brain betrayed me for minutes while the time kept going.

That's intentionality and commitment on another level entirely.

I remembered the first day I came across this challenge, the first thing that came to my mind was- Let me challenge myself with this and I whispered to myself, I can do this, and yes, I did it!

As someone who finds writing fun and therapeutic, I will keep learning more about how to write well, especially as a business owner.

I'm looking forward to becoming a content writer for brand owners and a social media manager, but right now, I'm more committed to my business growth.

Like I've displayed the quote — "Success starts with your mindset" by making it to the end of this challenge.

I believe I will be able to achieve many things once my mindset is set to achieve them.

I'm going out there with more positivity, commitment, intentionality, effort, and confidence all of which are part of the requirements to succeed.

It's been an amazing ride so far, and I'm glad I'm part of this challenge.

To the organizer of this challenge -Thank you for allowing me to become a better version of myself.

Thank you for pushing me to more success and growth.

God bless you.

I'm Hamzat Nafisat Olohuntoyin - a natural spices and kulikuli vendor and a clarity coach for small brand owners.

What Success Means to Me (Forget the Hype)

Oh, help me thank God, people later registered for my class.

Really? How many people.

Joyfully, I said - Five people.

She hissed and said, and you sounded like they are many.

I laughed, like you mean five people aren't many for a starter like me?

The class I started to talk about in less than a month and a whole five people believed in me?

You must be kidding me.

That was the short conversation between my sis and I,the first day of my class.

For any little achievement, I'm always more than happy.

For the small #100,the little #200, the not so enough #500, it's a success to me because as little as they are, many people struggle to get it.

Even if just a single person registered for the class,I would still be happy because it means someone somewhere believed in me and yes I'm a successful coach to have people trust me enough to register for my class and to help them go from confusion to clarity.

You need to see how I usually get delighted for a sale of just a pouch of kulikuli or a jar of spices.

Success to me,means peace of mind even if I couldn't get what I wished for. I'm successful.

Even if sales aren't forthcoming like I imagined, the fact that I can stay consistent, show up regardless, I'm successful.

Beyond coaching and selling, many people see busy professionals as the only successful individuals, I,do not because I believe success is relative.

For being a stay at home mom, fulfilling my duties as a mother and a wife , I'm successful.

Any little thing that gives me joy means success to me because what other way can success be truly displayed if the bearer isn't happy?

The other day,I was a bit down thinking about low sales until I looked at the sales I made for the month and I was wowed. Then ,I smiled subconsciously,to some,it may be nothing but to me ,it's everything.

Good health means success to me.

Getting my daily foods without struggle even if it's not what I so much crave for,it means success to me.

Nurturing my kid and watch him smile means success to me.

I'm a successful wife, mother, brand owner and an intentional coach.

A Free Tip, Trick, or Link That Helped Me

One of my students sent a message to me few days ago.

She described how a first time customer hyped her product thus she asked me " how do I use this to create content"?

I simply replied - You write it the way you sent it to me.

You may choose to write a conversational style using "me"and "her" or just write it like a story.

No pressure.
No edit.
Just raw content telling people what happened behind the scene.

Aside from writing in one's voice, writing become easier when you write to just one person at at time and not everybody.

I do this a lot. For me to be able to write well,I usually create an imagination of the person my content is targeting and talk to that person by using my voice.

And that's the secret behind my consistency.

Now , let's be practical about it.

Imagine I'm your customer, talk to me.

No, don't write it down.

Record how you will talk to me while imagining I'm right infront of you.

Now,I just asked you,how does your product solve my problem as a woman, wife and a mom?

Reply me by recording first, then write it down.

In your own voice.

You don't have to be perfect. Just be YOU.

Your voice makes you unique.

I've talked to you.

Now, it's your turn to talk to me.

Done talking to me?

Write it down like I've written to you.

Raw,real, authentic and original.

Your true voice that makes you unique.

That's how you write not just to show up but to connect.

The above works well for people who find it hard to put their ideas into writing.

If you can talk, you can write. If you can write, you can be seen.If you can be seen, you can sell.

A Mistake I See People Make Online (And a Better Way of Handling Such)

Chatgpt was my go to for everyday image creation for my written contents until I realized I might not have connection with my audience if I continue that way.

I run a faceless brand so I thought using chatgpt images would at least be attractive enough when in fact people need to see more of my products pictures.

I've seen many vendors making the same mistake for not only pictures but also contents as well.

And no matter how I view it,it just doesn't connect with me as a vendor and individual especially if the content isn't edited at all.

To me, Chatgpt contents usually sounds too perfect and doesn't show human tone, even it's joke is usually off unless one can actually use a very smart prompt.

Aside from vendors,I see people like growing coaches use chatgpt contents to teach people some tips without editing at all and it's worrisome.

The rate at which many people rely on the app is alarming and doing that definitely makes the brain relax and overtime ,many people won't be able to think critically to write contents that truly connect.

From the little experience I have as a coach, many people don't want to stress, stretch and rack their brain and I wonder what could have happened if there was no app like that in the first place.

Maybe just maybe, people would have been forced to think with, outside and without the box.

I was able to stop using generated images frequently by going outside to take pictures of my products and ever since then,I use Chatgpt images to pass out informations about sales, promo and offer only.

I believe a perfect picture can be taken without ring light and if people are ready to make use of the available equipment at hand, they will be more real and get connected with their audience easily and faster.

Content ideas are everywhere and if people can think critically on how to create contents from their daily activities either for their products or services,it will easily attract the right audience, make people trust them and of course buy from them.

And the easiest way to write to connect is by writing using your own voice. That way, people will be able to pick you out from the crowd.

If we all rely on Chatgpt for our contents, then we will sound the same way because we use the same app but if we write as we talk, our tone and style of writing will make us stand out and will give us our own unique voice that can't be duplicated.

Your voice is your greatest asset, use it to write contents that connect and not confuse.

This Is Who I Am (Right Now)

Beyond selling natural spices and kulikuli, I'm a graduate of Microbiology, a content writer and a clarity coach for small brand owners struggling to show up online.

I've always been career driven until life whispered- You have to thread another path and that's why I didn't show up online as a Microbiologist but a vendor.

But if I were asked now whether I would love to be a Medical Microbiologist like I always wished to then I won't blink before I say a resounding YES!

Aside from writing, working with microorganisms gives me joy and fulfillment probably because I studied them for a whole Four years and I developed interest on how they evolve and the impact they have on higher organisms like us.

While threading the path God has ordained for me,I found another potential buried inside me for a long time which is marketing.

I can't say if that's a trait or something I learnt directly or indirectly but I managed my dad's business from primary school till I graduated secondary school so it's safe to say I did a lot of marketing to thousands of people during that time.

After secondary school,I managed two other businesses as well and the owners couldn't wish for a better manager and thus showing up online to market my products is the easiest thing for me.

All I needed was to understand how the online business work and the moment I understood, showing up has been much more easier for me and that was the reason I became an intentional coach not because I wanted to but because people gradually lured me into it by allowing me see more of how I can impact online vendors with my writing, knowledge and experience.

Right now,I'm a graduate hoping to get a job with my certificate and an online vendor threading the path whether rough or smooth to be the best I can be. I'm also a clarity mentor to either individuals or brand owners who are struggling to show up online and truly wish to make impact.

And above all, I'm a content writer borne out of talent/gift and a little knowledge about copywriting. I learnt how to write for a brief moment in a paid class I joined while I was in school.

If there's one thing I can do effortlessly,it's nothing but writing the way I talk. I hardly get bored or tired of doing that and hopefully I might use the gift to venture into writing content for brand owners(I've done this and got paid)or probably become a social media manager but right now,I want to use all my energy on my business then doing all sort that might require my time and brain can come later.

I'm Hamzat Nafisat Olohuntoyin- I help health conscious individuals enjoy flavorful meals and yummy snacks always without breaking the bank. And I also help brand owners go from confusion to clarity and in turn show up for their business with confidence, purpose and clarity.
